No Amnesty for Illegals
Smitley speaks out against free handouts
Once in Congress, Mike Smitley will oppose any immigration bill that provides amnesty in any form to people who've come to the United States illegally. Securing the borders cannot be achieved with fences alone. The US Government must stop providing free lunches in the form of Social Security benefits and welfare benefits to those who seek a better life here. We should welcome legal immigration all day long, but let's make sure our own citizens receive top priority when there is a genuine need for assistance.

In the era of the War on Terror, many Americans are being told the only way they can be safe is to give up their liberties one by one. The people deserve to be safe AND free! As Congressman, I will NOT vote in favor of any bill which undermines the United States Constitution when it comes to personal rights.

It's high time the people of this great country get their government for the people and by the people back! I will not accept funding from special interest lobbies or gargantuan corporations who are looking for legislative benefits that don't benefit my neighbor, Average Joe.
