Mike Smitley is business consultant from Van Wert, Ohio who helps two major auto manufacturers reduce spending while maintaining or increasing profit. A father of one daughter, Mylah, and husband of almost 9 years to Sarah, Mike is ready to apply proven free market solutions to government issues in a way that eliminates or greatly reduces the need for government-backed solutions. He has a strong belief in the Constitution and vows to protect those rights which are slowly eroding today.

Prior to becoming a consultant and running for office, Mike was named a Latta Scholar by the Honorable former Congressman, Delbert Latta, while attending Bowling Green State University and studying Criminal Justice. Eventually, Mike became an engineering and contruction Project Manager for a large Ohio electric company, managed several budgets up to $67 Million and returned $5 Million of unused funding back to the company on one project alone.
